Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin fans have one more reason to celebrate this June. Omega Force, the studio behind the previous franchise video games, announced at Summer Game Fest 2026 that Attack on Titan 3 is in development.

What will this game cover?

This is the key point: the third game will go beyond Attack on Titan 2 and cover the final arc of the story, including the Rumbling and the fate of all the main characters. For fans who have been waiting years to see those moments in video game form, this is huge.

What do we know about the game?

Details are limited for now, but the trailer showed scenes from the anime's final arc with the frantic action and titan combat that characterized the previous games. Omega Force continues betting on hack and slash with 3D maneuvering mechanics.

Why it matters

Attack on Titan ended up being one of the most influential anime and manga of the last decade. Its ending divided the community but also generated enormous conversations. Having that ending represented in an interactive video game, where players can experience those moments firsthand, has tremendous emotional potential.

When does it release?

No confirmed release date yet. Omega Force hasn't confirmed platforms either, though PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC are expected, and possibly Nintendo Switch 2.

Meanwhile, if you didn't play the first two games in the saga, now's a good time to catch up.
